What is cognitive training? There are 100 billion connections in your brain that are constantly being altered. After many years of clinical research, assisted by imaging technology, Doctors, Researchers and Scientists have repeatedly confirmed that the brain is constantly changing and is highly adaptable. At Mastermind Cognitive Training, we help you to strengthen your brain which leads to better production. Your brain is a muscle just as your biceps are; therefore you need to use it in the right way to maximize its effectiveness. If you want the best possible results in school, at work, in your chosen sport or in the arts, you need to strengthen your weaknesses and improve your strengths. This will give you the competitive edge you want . Simply, cognitive training is a personal trainer for your brain.
By improving one's rhythm and timing, the participant learns to plan, sequence and process information more effectively. Therefore, not only does the IM Program have proven results for people with learning or developmental disorders, but leading schools, universities, professional athletes from the NHL, NFL, NBA, and PGA, musicians and others are remarking substantial results. Interactive Metronome® was founded in the early 1990s. The program was first introduced in 1999 to qualified professionals after nearly a decade of research. Today, there are more than 2500 certified providers throughout Canada and The United States. How does the training program help such a variety of focus areas? All human performance, from brushing our teeth in the morning to reading, writing, playing music and running, requires a combination of mental processing and body movement. This training teaches your brain to focus and to develop a better sense of timing. Athletes, musicians and dancers need to develop precise timing and this program helps them to achieve that goal. It also teaches them to concentrate and stay focused for longer periods. Once through the program, many symptoms of ADHD may get dramatically reduced. Among other positive changes in behavior, attention and concentration, many patients have reported taking a lesser dose of drugs. You will also find significant differences in motor control, processing and control of aggression and impulsivity. If your goal is improve your focus, concentration and recollection, this program will benefit you. Are the Results Permanent? Absolutely! Once you have completed the correct amount of sessions for you (usually between 12 and 15 hours in a 3 to 5 week period), your new abilities are with you for life. Some people do come back and take more sessions to improve their skills even more. PACE
Founded by Dr. Ken Gibson and developed by a team of leading professionals, PACE is primarily used to help those with learning difficulties such as trouble staying on task, difficulty with reading comprehension, poor math skills and difficulty reading aloud. However, the PACE program is also very beneficial to students who want a competitive edge in school and to adults who wish to outperform their competitors in their career. Master the Code
MTC is designed to integrate with and build upon the PACE cognitive skills enhancement program. Studies suggest that as many as 85% of students testing low on reading proficiency also have weak underlying cognitive skills, in particular, auditory processing skills. The program teaches reading and spelling concurrently through techniques that train students to accurately recognize and understand letters and letter combinations as well as the corresponding sounds of speech. |
